What Should I Do Before FUE Hair Transplantation?

– Hair should be washed before the operation, but solutions such as hair gel should not be used.
– You may need to bring a hat to use after the operation.
– If you have regular medications, consult your doctor.
– If you smoke, you must quit at least 10 days before surgery.
– If you are taking medications such as blood thinners and aspirin, consult your doctor. You might need to stop taking those medicines a week before the operation.

FUE Hair Transplant Procedure

– First of all, general information and planning should be made. Afterwards, the hair is shaved and local anesthesia is applied to the donor area where the hair follicles will be taken.
– With the FUE motor, hair follicles are collected in groups of two or three (grafts) and kept in a special solution.
– Hair line is determined according to the request of the doctor and the person. In determining the line, the photographs of the person before hair loss are taken as reference.
– For hair transplantation, channels are opened first. Opening the channels is a process that requires experience and precision. The frequency and thickness of the channels to be opened are very important to achieve a natural appearance. Another important issue is the angle of these channels. Angles should be well adjusted for hair to take the desired shape. In every curve of the head, channels should be opened to accommodate them.
-Afterwards, the transplantation process is started. The collected hair follicles are placed in the micro channels created. When the collected follicles are placed, hair transplantation is completed.

FUE Hair Transplant Process

Fue technique hair transplantation is a procedure that can be performed under local anesthesia and sedation and takes about 6 hours. You do not need to stay in the hospital after the operation.

After a FUE Hair Transplant Procedure

– You should go to your doctor for the dressing of the bandaged area and your first wash.
– Washing process is usually done on the 2nd or 3rd day.
– You should use the shampoo and hair lotion given by your doctor.
-In the area where hair transplantation is performed, the hair grows for 2-3 weeks, but this hair may fall out. This is normal, the hair will grow again after the resting phase, after the 6th month it will take its full shape.

Post-Procedure Recovery Period

– Hair should be washed with warm water, it will be sufficient for your hair to lather slightly during shampooing.
– During washing and drying, rubbing should not be applied to the planted area.
– You should sleep on your back for 1 week.
– You should not scratch the hair transplantation area.
– You should stay away from heavy exercise for 1 month.
– You should not be exposed to direct sunlight.
