For many men, beard and moustache are important for self-esteem and appearance. However, beards and moustaches may not have the desired density due to hormonal and genetic factors and injuries. In this case, the most common method used to achieve the desired bushy beard and moustache is beard-moustache transplantation.
Beard and moustache transplantation can be applied to people who have no beard, as well as to all healthy people who have a sparse beard or no beard in some parts.
Beard – Mustache Transplant Procedure
– First of all, general information and planning is made. The areas and methods where the beard will be transplanted are decided together with the patient.
– As in hair transplantation, the hairs in the nape area are used as donors.
– FUT or FUE methods can be used in beard and moustache transplantation. However, the FUE method is preferred because it is a more advanced method.
Beard – Mustache Transplant Process
– Beard and moustache transplantation is done with local anesthesia and takes about 4-5 hours. You do not need to stay in the hospital after the operation.
– After the procedure, crusting can be seen. This is normal and will pass in a short time.
– The transplanted hair sheds slowly and grows back in about 3 months.
– The desired beard-moustache appearance is achieved within 6 months.
